Personal Life

I have been happily married to my wife Eva for 40 years and enjoy 6 amazing children and their families. We are blessed with 11 grandchildren. We have lived in our home for 39 years enjoying everything Dutton Dunwich has to offer. This is our home!

Volunteer and Professional Life

• A self employed entrepreneur who founded HD Painting Contractors Limited 33 years ago. The family owned business has become a leader in the industry providing commercial painting services to the largest contractors in South Western Ontario.
• Current chair of the Dutton Dunwich Economic Development Committee appointed by municipal council.
• Currently a director on the West Elgin Community Foundation Board.
• Served on the PCA Commercial Forum Board (Commercial Painting Contractors of America) for 2 years successfully organizing conferences in Banff Alberta and West Virginia for the purpose of promoting better business practices to contractors. This organization is the largest in the world focusing on multi million dollar painting businesses.
• Founding member of Backus Page House Museum (Tyrconnell Heritage Society) serving on the board of directors for 20 years. During that period was president for 6 years organizing and promoting the development of the museum.
• President and past director on the West Lorne Minor Hockey board during the period my children played community minor hockey.
• Past director on the West Elgin Arena board of management.
